1 John 4:1
1: Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.
1 Thessalonians 5:21
- but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.
2 John 1:7
- Many deceivers have gone out into the world. They do not believe that Jesus Christ came to earth in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist.
2 Peter 2:1

Since they try to keep you from following the LORD your God, you must execute them to remove the evil from among you.
1 Corinthians 12:10
- He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and to another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to know whether it is really the Spirit of God or another spirit that is speaking. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, and another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.
